Robert McLiam Wilson

robert-mcliam-wilsonRobert McLiam Wilson is one of the best and boldest Irish novelists of his generation.  His first novel, Ripley Bogle, was a cause celebre when published in 1989 and won the Irish Book Award, among other prizes.  He has subsequently published two novels, Manfred’s Pain (shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize) and the international hit, Eureka Street. He has also published a work of non fiction, The Dispossessed.  He lives in Paris and is at work on a novel, The Extremists, and a film adaptation of Manfred’s Pain.  He has been named one of Granta’s Best Young British Novelists in 2003.
