Glyn Maxwell
Glyn Maxwell is one of the most distinguished poets at work in Britain today, and he is also a playwright and novelist. His poetry has won The Geoffrey Faber memorial prize, has been awarded both the E.M. Forster and Somerset Maugham prizes and been shortlisted for all the major UK poetry prizes on several occasions. His novel, The Girl Who Was Going to Die, an inventive and wry take on love, death and the world of celebrity and the media was published in 2008. His latest collection of poems Hide Now was shortlisted for both the T.S. Eliot and Forward Prizes and his Selected Poems, One Thousand Nights and Counting was published in 2011.
